The dialogical nature of hermeneutics actualizes the need for a theoretical substantiation of the specifics of the hermeneutic subject, which is designed to &#8220;restore&#8221; the triad &#8220;author &#8211; text &#8211; reader&#8221; disturbed in the process of metamorphosis of European humanitarian thought. The distinctive features of the hermeneutic subject are characterized, its existential-cognitive integrity is emphasized, which is an indispensable condition of artistic communication through the realization of syncretic cognition of the artistic text.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Keywords<\/strong>: philological hermeneutics, hermeneutic subject, literary text, reader, researcher, language, consciousness, intentionality, word, meaning.<\/p>\n<p><strong>REFERENCES<\/strong><br \/>\n1.
