These nominations include both functionally desemanticized terms and units having powerful associative-imagistic potential.
Epithetic and metaphorical combinations, which are components of the mentioned paradigm, encompass various external portrait and internal psychological characteristics. Within the semantic level of the “external portrait”, they provide indications of age, outline physical traits such as strength, height, eye colour and shape, describe clothing and mannerisms.
The semantic level of the “internal portrait of a man” represents the linguistic description of moods and feelings of contemporary man. The strongest among them is the feeling of love. It includes moral evaluations of individuals, characterization of their thinking and speech, activation of folklore motifs, as well as the incorporation of the “signifying” motifs of alcohol consumption and solitude, typical for 1990s poetry.
The analysis of the textual segment with the meaning of “social life” reveals a significant development of imagery related to “military concepts” and “profession and occupation”. Among other semantic-imagistic vectors observed within the paradigm of a man, there is an active development of the lexico-thematic line of person → nature and the presence of a considerable number of contexts saturated with obscene vocabulary.
In general, the modelling of the image of a man corresponds to the linguistic and worldview orientations of authors in the stylistic construction of the image of a contemporary person. The particular features of the paradigm of a man include the significant development of the semantic level of “military concepts” and the thematic group of “profession and occupation”. In our opinion, this indicates a connection with Ukrainian folk and literary traditions. Thus, semantic associations and stylistic evaluations of the image of a man in contemporary Ukrainian poetry are determined by the organic combination of tradition and innovation in national postmodern linguistic thinking.
Key words: imagery paradigm, archiseme, semantic slice, lexical-thematic line, intertextual connections.

REFERENCES
Bilonozhenko, V.M.
