{"id":12392,"date":"2025-02-06T09:25:25","date_gmt":"2025-02-06T07:25:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ks.iul-nasu.org.ua\/?page_id=12392"},"modified":"2025-02-06T12:22:14","modified_gmt":"2025-02-06T10:22:14","slug":"12392-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ks.iul-nasu.org.ua\/en\/vypusky-zhurnalu\/2024-2\/zbirnyk-kultura-slova-101-2024\/12392-2.html","title":{"rendered":"DYNAMICS OF THE COMPOSITION AND FUNCTIONS OF EXPLANATORY-SEPARATING CONJUNCTIONS"},"content":{"rendered":"&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kateryna HORODENSKA,<\/strong><br \/>\nDoctor of Philological Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Grammar and Scientific Terminology,<br \/>\nInstitute of the Ukrainian Language of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine;<br \/>\n4 Mykhaila Hrushevskoho St., Kyiv 01001, Ukraine;<br \/>\n\u0435-mail: k.horodenska70@meta.ua<br \/>\nORCID: https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0003-2638-9037<\/p>\n<p><strong>Heading:<\/strong> LANGUAGE AND TIME<br \/>\n<strong>Language:<\/strong> Ukrainian<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abstract<\/strong><br \/>\nThe article examines the history of the presentation of explanatory and separating conjunctions in grammatical theory and educational practice, it clarifies the peculiarities of their use in functional and stylistic varieties of Ukrainian literary language in different periods of the 20th and 21st centuries.<br \/>\nThe paper established the active use of the conjunction <em>\u0437\u043e\u0441\u0456\u0431\u043d\u0430<\/em> as an explanatory-separating conjunction with nouns, the names of persons and non-persons, in the first half of the 20th century, its subsequent removal from Ukrainian usage and reactualization in language practice of the first twenty years of the 21st century.<br \/>\nThe absence of explanatory-separating conjunction <em>\u0442\u0430\u043a\u0456 \u044f\u043a<\/em> (<em>\u0442\u0430\u043a\u0438\u0445 \u044f\u043a, \u0442\u0430\u043a\u0438\u043c \u044f\u043a, \u0442\u0430\u043a\u0438\u043c\u0438 \u044f\u043a<\/em> \u0456 \u0442. \u0434.) in grammars and study courses of the Ukrainian literary language of the 20th century was found, however, it was noted a fairly rapid return of this conjunction to the language of Ukrainian mass communication in the 21st century. An expansion of the stylistic range of the conjunction \u044f\u043a \u043e\u0441\u044c instead of \u044f\u043a-\u043e\u0442 has been observed.<br \/>\nA conclusion was made about the dynamics of the composition and style parameters explanatory-separating conjunctions in the Ukrainian literary language 21st century, caused primarily by their reactualization.<br \/>\n<strong>Key words:<\/strong> explanatory-separating conjunctions, dynamics, reactualization, functional-style areas, language practice.<\/p>\n<p><strong>REFERENCES<\/strong><br \/>\nHorodenska, K.
