Zahrebelnyi’s fiction. The concept of “folk song” is actualized as a phenomenal phenomenon of Ukrainian culture, the textual representatives of which acquire the features of stylistics in a number of the writer’s works. From the typological, genre, structural and graphic point of view, the author characterizes the general array of folk songs and their fragments quoted by the author; identifies common and distinctive semantic and semantic shades of recurring folklorisms. The attention is focused on the logical-semantic and functional features of ethnosong signs recorded in three novels – “Death in Kyiv”, “Roksolana”, “I, Bohdan”, in the vertical contexts of which the most stylistically expressive and most used are, according to the listed works, such historical folk songs as: vigilante songs (period of Kуivan Rus), lament songs and family and household women’s songs (XV–XVI centuries), Cossack songs of various genres (ХVІІ century). The textual and cultural-historical originality of the key linguistic units of this sample and their place in the intersemiotic space of the novel “I, Bohdan” are investigated and commented on in detail. It is found that the language of the work of fiction is dominated by historical thoughts created in the middle of the seventeenth century, which appear as social and temporal markers of the national liberation war against the Poles led by Bohdan Khmelnytskyi. It is concluded that in P. Zahrebelnyi’s linguosophy, folk songs of the Cossack cycle are semantically significant, since they convey the main ideas and aspirations of the people during the formation of the Ukrainian nation.
Key words: ethnolinguistic sign, folklorism, folk song, stylisteme, intertexteme, historical thought.

REFERENCES
Holikova, N.S.
