There were characterized the most representative oppositions, semantically opposed components of which are correlated with temporal concepts: <em>day \u2013 night, daytime \u2013 night, yesterday \u2013 tomorrow, yesterday \u2013 today, today \u2013 tomorrow, yesterday\u2019s \u2013 tomorrow\u2019s,<\/em> etc. The axiologically marked nomenclatures of human feelings productive in the poetess\u2019s language creation are analyzed: <em>love \u2013 hate; joy \u2013 sadness, longing; happiness \u2013 trouble; cheerful \u2013 sad; laugh \u2013 cry, sob; happy \u2013 unhappy,<\/em> etc. They represent polar feelings, emotions and the state of mind for the lyrical hero.<br \/>\nIt was found that entire poetic passages are often built on lexical oppositions, in which a holistic contrasting image is conveyed with the help of partial oppositions.<br \/>\nIt is emphasized that a characteristic feature of Lina Kostenko\u2019s idiostyle is the widespread use of oxymoronic syntagms as a means of individualizing the artistic narrative in order to express mental state of the character and the contradictory essence of the described phenomena.<br \/>\nIt is emphasized that the expressiveness of linguistic contrast in Lina Kostenko\u2019s poetic vocabulary is enhanced by the following syntactic-stylistic constructions: parcellation, combination of opposites, opposition of opposites, negation of opposites, identification of depicted contrasting phenomena.
