Abstract<\/strong>
\nThe article is devoted to the analysis of the dash in the poetic language of Oksana Zabuzhko based on specific syntactic indicators. It has been established that this is one of the most frequent punctuation marks in poetic texts, which predominantly has an individually authorial character. It reflects various authorial nonverbal intentions, particularly in emotional and communicative-stylistic aspects. Poetic lines are often permeated with dashes throughout; such cases are inappropriate to comment on in a formal-syntactic dimension, as they do not relate to the structural-grammatical principle of using this punctuation mark. However, in many sentences the authorial dash can be viewed through the prism of syntactic indicators, which demonstrates the synergy of syntax and punctuation. This concerns O. Zabuzhko\u2019s use of the dash between subjects and predicates, between homogeneous parts of the sentence, for marking parenthetical units, for isolating semi-predicative components, for separating predicative parts of various complex sentences, and so on. The article focuses on the main semantic-syntactic relations that underlie the use of the authorial dash: comparative, contrastive-oppositional, and consequential relations. Such relations are implemented mainly in syntactic units that, from the perspective of current punctuation norms, do not traditionally require a dash.
