Based on the speech of the residents of Tiudiv village, Kosiv district, Ivano-Frankivsk region, the study clarifies their role in actualizing communicative meaning, expressing speakers\u2019 intentions, organizing dialogic interaction, and shaping pragmatic components of meaning. The main semantic and cognitive groups of such units are identified, and the peculiarities of their functioning in cooperative and confrontational communication are characterized.
