Bandery St., 79013 Lviv, Ukraine;<br \/>\ne-mail: liliia.v.kharchuk@lpnu.ua<br \/>\nORCID: https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0003-0063-1956<\/p>\n<p><strong>Heading<\/strong>: REVIEW<br \/>\n<strong>Language<\/strong>: Ukrainian<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abstract<\/strong><br \/>\nThe review analyses the textbook by Oksana Mykytiuk and Iryna Farion \u201cLanguage and Linguists: Establishing the Norm\u201d (Lviv: Lviv Polytechnic Publishing House, 2025), in which the history of the Ukrainian linguistic norm is interpreted through the figures of linguists who shaped the scientific and cultural tradition of the Ukrainian language in different historical periods. The review examines the conceptual foundations of the book, its structure, methodological approach, and educational potential. It demonstrates that the biographical principle of organizing the material allows the authors to combine the history of the language system with the history of linguistic thought and to reveal the linguistic norm as a cultural and historical phenomenon. Particular attention is given to the significance of the book for contemporary reflections on linguistic tradition, the development of language culture, and the formation of linguistic awareness in society. The publication is also interpreted as an important intellectual gesture of cultural memory aimed at highlighting the role of linguists in the processes of establishing and affirming the Ukrainian language.<br \/>\n<strong>Key words<\/strong>: linguistic norm, Ukrainian language, language culture, linguistic tradition, national identity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>REFERENCES<\/strong><br \/>\nMykytiuk, O., Farion, I.
