Abstract
The article is devoted to the individual author’s neologisms in the TSNs of the famous Ukrainian writer Yurii Andruhovych. The analysis of the most productive ways of creating occasionalisms proves that lexemes create bright original images, convey emotions, clearly describe situations, are characterized by expression, emotional load, determined by the author’s associative worldview. It is noted that in order to increase the effectiveness of the texts, to create a comic, the author actively uses such a stylistic technique as a pun. Paraphrases from the thematic posts of the writer are highlighted, which are marked by imagery, clarity of construction, and thematic acuity; being the second names of objects, phenomena, their important features, signs, the necessity of which is caused by the thematic direction of the author’s text, stand out.
Key words: author’s neologisms, occasionalisms, pun, paraphrases.
