SHEVCHENKO’S WORD AND EDUCATION OF LANGUAGE-NATIONAL CONSCIOUSNESS

Abstract
The article analyzes the language of modern textbooks on Ukrainian literature for grades 5–7 as an educational and didactic discourse, as well as the linguostylistic resource of analyzing the work of T. Shevchenko, its potential for forming the linguistic and national consciousness of students. Emphasis is placed on the complex intermedia tools used by the authors of the textbooks in covering the biography, work of Shevchenko the poet and Shevchenko the artist. It is noted that the analysis of the poet’s works, which are different in motives, which are determined by the educational program, requires the search for effective educational and methodological techniques that combine the study of language and literature as the basis for the formation of the national consciousness of citizens of Ukraine.
The importance of such a section as “Reading Workshop” with a competition to choose the best reader of Shevchenko’s poems is noted. Attention is paid to tasks related to works of art that embody the image of Shevchenko.
The combination of popular science, journalistic, and artistic styles in educational and didactic discourse requires greater attention to the features of the poet’s individual style, the interpretation of the semantics of specific statements as signs of the history of language, and the explanation of the author’s aphorisms. Attention is paid to the style of formulation of varieties of written and oral tasks for students. Critical remarks are made regarding the presentation of the writer’s biography.
Key words: educational and didactic discourse, biographical texts, the language of Shevchenko’s poetry, the interaction of arts, the individual style of the poet, catchphrases, varieties of lyrical texts.
