Heading: TO ASSIST TEACHERS
Language: Ukrainian

Abstract
The article is devoted to the linguistic-stylistic analysis of modern works about teenagers, which are proposed for study in the Ukrainian literature course for the New Ukrainian School. The material of the works draws attention to the context of linguosophy of modern existence: what figures of speech are symbols of relationships in real school or extracurricular life between peers and adults? What is the linguistic behavior of school youth?
In assessing the language of Oksana Saiko’s stories “Novenka”, Irene Rozdobudko’s “Arsen” and Volodymyr Arіenіev’s story “Sapiens”, attention is focused on the portrait characteristics of the main characters – children aged 12–13. It is noted that a significant component of socio-cultural identification, which is involved by writers, is the language of teenagers of three models: realistic modern, illusory-fantasy and prognostic-fantasy.
The conclusion is made about the interaction in the linguistic portrait of teenagers of the slang lexicon, markers of socio-cultural identity (national and globalized, which predominates) – common and proper names, phraseological units, terminological combinations. The features of the active vocabulary of a teenager of the early 21st century and the layer of extra-dictionary vocabulary are noted.
Key words: adolescent language, vocabulary, identity marker, sociocultural factor of communication, slang, proper name.
