Abstract
The article analyzes the linguocognitive manifestations of the ideologeme “Ukraine” in textbooks for the New Ukrainian School of Ukrainian literature. The theoretical interpretation of the ideologeme is carried out in the linguocognitive aspect, which emphasizes its conceptual features – as a verbal unit of the mentality of society. In view of this, the interpretation of the ideologeme as a unit of linguistic consciousness, which conveys the value-cultural understanding of national identity through the means of the national language, is proposed. The specifics of studying the concept are based on extralinguistic factors (cultural-historical, political conditions of text creation), which determine the semantics and connotation of linguistic means. In Ukrainian reality, they are primarily associated with periods of statelessness and national liberation movements, which influenced the degree of awareness of the people of their own identity – in language, culture, history as the main attributes of building statehood. Their generalizing image is the concept of “Ukraine”, which clearly manifests itself as an ideologeme, primarily during the periods of state formation. The manifestations of ideologemes and their ethnocultural specificity in the text make possible units of the national language lexicon, the semantics of which reflects the personal cognitive and communicative experience of each author of the text. It is important that the authors of textbooks, when selecting texts, set the goal of forming the ideological component of the linguistic consciousness of students, ensuring a continuous process of preparing new generations of Ukrainians with a holistic value-ideological awareness of their own identity. In the context of linguistic consciousness and taking into account the time of creation of the texts, the lexical-semantic, stylistic potential of key concepts that reveal the content of the ideologeme is traced, attention is paid to the communicative-pragmatic selection of linguistic and literary material for middle school students of the New Ukrainian School.
Key words: ideologeme, linguistic consciousness, national identity, linguistic thinking, seme, lexical and semantic means.
