Heading: Oles Honchar in the history of Ukrainian literary language

Abstract: The article focuses on Oles Honcharʼs vision of ways of developing the Ukrainian literary language, attention was paid to the peculiarities of the language creations of I. Kotliarevskyi, T. Shevchenko, I. Franko, V. Stefanyk, O. Dovzhenko, Yu. Yanovskyi, V. Symonenko and others. The most important criteria for the formation of the literary language in connection with the history of Ukrainian literature are considered. The landmark of the writer both in the artistic work and in his life was the respect for folk and literary traditions, a deep sense of the word, the search for aesthetic samples of language expression, the harmonious combination of content and form, the creation of cultural-value, nationalspatial, deeply intellectual, and at the same time understandable and perceptible to Society of Classical Samples of Ukrainian Writing.

For the linguistic personality of O. Honcharʼs, the word is a peculiar landmark, with which, at various levels of awareness, the part of his previous (verbal and non-verbal) experience is updated. This angle varies, changing the estimated expressiveness of illumination of multiple objects, qualities, attributes, relationships, relationships, experiences, in fact the most diverse multistage, associated with the word of knowledge.

The writer demonstrates individual reflection on the history of literary language in numerous reports, literary-critical articles, and journalistic writings reflecting his personal cognitive and communicative experience, a conscious understanding of the achievements and tasks of the history of literary creation. The style of such a development is a peculiar synthesis of scientific (logical) analysis, artistic (figurative) perception and a journalistic (informative) presentation.

The reasoning, evaluation of the literary work of Ukrainian writers O. Honcharʼs in “Writing Thoughts”, publications, speeches and today remain the guideline in clarifying the role of the linguistic personality in the history of the literary language.

Key words: the history of literary language, linguistic norm, artistic style, stylistic norm, folk-spoken language, aesthetics of artistic word, linguistic personality, national-linguistic consciousness.
