STYLISTICALLY MARKED VOCABULARY IN THE LANGUAGE OF MODERN UKRAINIAN POLITICS: FUNCTIONAL-PRAGMATIC AND NORMATIVE ASPECTS

Abstract
The article analyzes the lexical, stylistic, and orthographic changes in the language of modern Ukrainian politics associated with the impact of the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, which changed the usual political rhetoric, the subject of texts and speeches on political topics and, in fact, the language of the media and the language of politicians. Among them there is a phenomenon of the stylistic register decline of the modern Ukrainian political language, the problem of fixing “abnormal” vocabulary, writing proper names associated with the aggressor country, and the place and role of stylistically marked vocabulary in modeling the modern political lexicon of wartime. The appearance of new words and the activation of certain groups of commonly used vocabulary, primarily expressive, evaluative-depreciated, colloquial units along with socio-political terminology and vocabulary in the modern political lexicon, were identified and analyzed. In order to identify the degree of establishment of such innovations in the modern political lexicon, their activity and role in the nomination and communication processes, the method of identifying the functional potential of the nomination resource was applied. Spelling deviations in language practice are qualified as temporary phenomena in the life of politicians and the media space, which, however, require special attention.
