Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the influence of family tradition on the choice of a name among representatives of the Polish community of Khmelnytskyi. The composition of personal names chosen for naming according to family tradition has been clarified. The main types of naming according to family tradition were determined, the role of family tradition as a factor in choosing a name among the Poles of Khmelnytskyi at the beginning of the 21st century was analyzed. The aim of the research is to determine the influence of the family tradition on the name choice in the Polish national community of Khmelnytskyi at the beginning of the 21st century. The research materials are the personal names of the representatives of the Polish national community of Khmelnytskyi born in 1991–2019 registered in the Saint Anne Church registers.
