Abstract
The article analyzes the conceptual foundations of Pavlo Zahrebelnyiʼs linguistic consciousness. Taking into account the interpretation of linguistic consciousness in world science, the units of its implementation in the artistic and journalistic heritage of the writer are singled out – ideologues Ukraine, history, culture, language as cross-cutting ethnocentric components of Ukrainian national identity. The focus of the writerʼs thoughts is the search for one’s own identity, characteristic of Ukrainian artists of all times, the call to assert one’s own phenomenon – the phenomenon of the Ukrainian nation, Ther lexical, semantic, stylistic, and pragmatic text manifestations in the reception of the literary language of an intellectual personality, significant for the history of literature, are revealed.
When studying the linguistic consciousness of the writer, it is important to take into account not only his language knowledge, language sense, language evaluations, language instructions, but also conceptual guidelines in the understanding of national values, which includes the concept of linguistic consciousness in a broad sense.
The linguistic Pavlo Zahrebelnyi’s consciousness proves the continuity of the establishment of the national idea in the history of the literary language, in the history of Ukrainian statehood.
The thinker expands their rational common language semantics with philosophical-sensual connotations, communicative-pragmatic orientation, intellectual-ideological existential values.
